HarborLand Is Now Open at Central Chiangmai Airport

Hi everyone!

We have some really good news for families in Chiang Mai — especially for kids and parents who have been waiting for a new indoor place to play, relax and spend time together.

HarborLand Chiang Mai is now open at Central Chiangmai Airport!

If you have children, you probably know the situation very well: sometimes it is too hot outside, sometimes it is raining, and sometimes you simply want a place where the kids can run, jump, play and enjoy themselves while staying indoors.

That is exactly why this opening is quite exciting for Chiang Mai families.

The new HarborLand is located on the 4th floor of Central Chiangmai Airport and covers more than 2,700 square metres. It is designed for children from around 5 months up to 15 years old, so families with children of different ages can enjoy the same place together.

A New Place for Families in Chiang Mai

The new branch is built around the theme “MUAN JAI FESTIVAL” and feels much more like a full family entertainment space than a small indoor playground.

There are several different zones, each created for a different type of play and age group.

The main areas include:

  • Little Ville

  • Toys Land

  • Harbor Town

  • Kids Island

  • Junior Jungle

There is also Little JumpZ, a trampoline area, together with a mini inflatable zone.

For parents with children of different ages, this is probably one of the biggest advantages. Younger kids can enjoy calmer and safer areas, while older children can move to more active attractions.

Harbor Town — Kids Can Become Whoever They Want

One of the most interesting areas is Harbor Town.

This is a role-playing zone where children can try different jobs and activities. HarborLand says there are more than 15 different roles available.

Kids can use their imagination, play together and experience something more creative than simply climbing and sliding.

For us, this kind of area is especially interesting because children are not only moving around, but also learning how to interact, communicate and create their own little stories.

Plenty of New Attractions

Of course, the most important question for children is simple:

What can I play with?

And there is quite a lot.

Wavy Donut Slide

Wavy Donut Slide

The Wavy Donut Slide is one of the more exciting new attractions.

It adds more speed and adventure compared with a normal playground slide and will probably become one of the first things older kids run toward.

iWall Interactive Game

The iWall combines a digital game with physical movement.

Children need to move their bodies to control and interact with what is happening on the screen.

We like this concept because it uses technology while still keeping children active instead of simply sitting and watching.

Tag Challenge

The Tag Challenge is all about speed and reaction.

Children race around trying to touch illuminated buttons as quickly as possible.

This should be especially fun for siblings and friends who want to compete against each other.

Snappy Slide

Then there is the Snappy Slide, one of the funniest-looking attractions in the new branch.

Kids crawl underneath a giant inflatable elephant as part of the experience.

It is colourful, playful and exactly the kind of thing younger children tend to remember.

Little JumpZ Trampoline Zone

For children who still have some energy left — and somehow they always do — there is also Little JumpZ.

This trampoline zone gives kids another place to jump, move and burn off even more energy.

For parents, that already sounds like a pretty good deal.

A few hours here, dinner afterwards, and bedtime might become much easier.

LED Roller Slide

Another attractive feature is the LED Roller Slide.

The combination of rollers and colourful LED lights makes it much more visually interesting than a normal slide.

It also looks like one of those attractions children will probably want to try again and again.

And yes, it should also look great in photos and videos.

Sand Factory

Not everything inside HarborLand is designed around running and jumping.

There is also a Sand Factory area for more relaxed sensory play.

This gives younger children a quieter space where they can focus, play with sand and work on fine motor skills.

We think it is a nice addition because every child is different.

Some kids want to climb everything they see.

Others are perfectly happy sitting in one place and building something for 30 minutes.

Having both kinds of activities makes the playground feel more complete.

Suitable for Babies, Kids and Teenagers

One of the most useful things about this new HarborLand is the age range.

The playground is designed for children from approximately 5 months to 15 years old.

That makes it particularly interesting for larger families.

If you have a baby, a six-year-old and an older child, finding one activity that works for everyone is not always easy.

Here, at least in theory, each child can find something suitable.

Of course, every attraction has its own height and age requirements, so parents should check the rules before allowing children to use specific areas.

Why This Opening Is Good News for Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is a fantastic city for families, but indoor activities are always useful.

During the hot season, afternoons can be exhausting.

During the rainy season, outdoor plans can disappear very quickly.

And during periods of poor air quality, many parents prefer to keep their children indoors.

That is why a large indoor playground like HarborLand makes a lot of sense here.

You can come for a few hours, let the kids play, have lunch in the mall, do some shopping and make a full family day out of it.

Location

The location is convenient because everything is already inside the shopping centre.

Food, cafés, parking and other shops are all nearby, which makes the visit much easier for parents.

Is HarborLand Chiang Mai Worth Visiting?

Based on the size and number of attractions, it definitely looks promising.

More than 2,700 square metres, several different play zones, trampolines, interactive games, slides and role-playing activities make this much more than a small children’s corner inside a shopping mall.

For families living in Chiang Mai, it could easily become a regular weekend option.

For tourists visiting Chiang Mai with children, it is also useful to keep in mind as a backup plan when the weather is not great.

Final Thoughts

For us, the biggest thing is simply that Chiang Mai now has another serious indoor option for families.

And that is good news.

Kids get somewhere new to explore.

Parents get a place where children can stay active indoors.

And families get another easy answer to that famous weekend question:

“So… where are we taking the kids today?”

HarborLand Chiang Mai might be one of the answers.
